Rishi Sunak and PM Modi Concur to Increase Collaboration

On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi began the second phase of his trip to three nations by landing in Papua New Guinea. When he arrived, he was welcomed by James Marape, the prime minister of Papua New Guinea, and given Guard of Honour.

The third summit of the Forum for India-Pacific Islands Cooperation (FIPIC) will be co-hosted by him and James Marape of Papua New Guinea tomorrow. During his bilateral visits to Papua New Guinea, he will meet with both the governor-general and prime minister, James Marape and Bob Dadae.

On the fringes of the G7 Summit, he also had productive discussions with Lula da Silva, the president of Brazil. Mr. Modi stated in a tweet that Brazil and India will continue to cooperate to strengthen trade ties.

The two presidents stressed the need for ongoing collaboration in multilateral forums and the ongoing need for reform of multilateral institutions while talking about diversifying cooperation in fields including agriculture and defense and exchanging opinions on regional developments.

The two presidents had their first encounter at the G7 Summit in Japan’s Hiroshima, where they had both participated in a working session on “Towards a Peaceful, Stable, and Prosperous World.”

According to Mr. Modi, the issue in Ukraine is one of humanity and human values, and the only solution is via communication and diplomacy.

He claimed that the unifying goal is to achieve world peace, stability, and prosperity. He visited the Peace Memorial Museum and paid respects at the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park while thanking his Japanese counterpart Fumio Kishida, the government, and the people of Japan for their hospitality.
