Lakki Marwat Carries Out the Burial of Mufti Shakoor

Thousands of people from many walks of life, including Syed Ashfaq Anwar, deputy commissioner Abdul Hadi, and government representatives, attended his burial prayers. Mufti Shakoor, a prominent JUI-F leader from Lakki Marwat, was noted for his vehement remarks against his political adversaries, particularly the PTI.

He defeated a PTI candidate to win the NA-51 National Assembly seat, which includes six formerly frontier regions, in the 2018 general elections on the platform of Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal. Two widows, two children, and a son are left behind to mourn his passing. When Mufti Shakoor was laid to rest next to his mother’s tomb, powerful scenes were seen.

He was raised in Tajbikhel village and was born on January 1, 1968. He attended the renowned Darul Uloom Haqqania seminary in Akora Khattak for his religious studies after completing his primary education there. There, in 1993, he earned his master’s degree in Islamic studies.

He received his Master’s in Philosophy from the renowned Shah Waliullah Academy in Hyderabad as well. He was chosen to serve as the Khateeb of a Jamia Masjid in Peshawar’s Palosai neighborhood in 2002.

During the ongoing five-day polio eradication campaign, an official said that the crackdown on anti-state elements in the trans-river belt was intended to keep the peace. He said that police officers involved in polio eradication initiatives have previously been victims of terrorist assaults.

Large police and army contingents, according to him, investigated the suspected hiding places in the Kaichi Kamar, Samandi, Ghati Michenkhel, and Wanda Shahabkhel regions under the direction of district police officer Mohammad Ashfaq Khan.

He claimed that the data of suspicious villagers were also examined by law enforcement. According to DPO Ashfaq, the operation’s goal was to preserve tranquility and law and order in the region abutting Karak and Mianwali districts.

Attacks on police had increased recently in the rural communities in the Kurrum Par area. In the jungles surrounding the Kurrum River near Lakki Marwat city, known locally as Darga, the Pakistan Army, and police conducted a joint search operation against militants in January of this year.
