In total, 44,621 applications for Hajj have been received through specified banks, with the number of applications broken down by the bank. The Sponsorship Hajj Scheme received 4,308 applications, while the Government Hajj Scheme received 40,313 applications.

He continued by saying that the ministry got 4,468 applications for the Hajj on Saturday, of which 3,960 were submitted under the Government Hajj Scheme and 508 under the Sponsorship Hajj Scheme.
The ministry got 2,679 applications for the Hajj on Sunday, of which 2,371 were made under the Government Hajj Scheme and 308 under the Sponsorship Hajj Scheme.

Butt observed that Meezan Bank (9,142 applications total), including 940 under the Sponsorship Hajj Scheme, had received the most Hajj applications.
Foreign Pakistanis could provide a medical fitness certificate before their Hajj flight or provide a health certificate issued abroad.
Applicants who had not yet received the coronavirus immunization, he said, could do so. According to additional official government sources, the Government Hajj Scheme was expected to reduce the expense of the Hajj by $45,000.
