CVs of Sachin, MS, and Sehwag from spam mail

When the BCCI mandarins opened the mailbox to check the CVs of potential candidates for the National Selection Committee, they were shocked to see the selection of Sachin Tendulkar, Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Virender Sehwag. And as if that was not enough, Pakistan’s leader Inzamam ul Haq has also nominated himself for the job. Just that all these CVs are posted using spam email IDs of the recruiters to enjoy the BCCI money.

National Selection Committee

BCCI received more than 600 email applications for the five-member selection committee and some of them came from fake IDs claiming to be Tendulkar, Dhoni, Sehwag and Inzamam. Worse, the Cricket Advisory Committee is expected to come up with 10 names for the top spot.

  • “The CAC will select 10 candidates and select the final five. The process will be completed soon,” a BCCI source told PTI.
  • BCCI sacked the Chetan-Sharma-led team after the team’s exit from the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup last month. however, this panel continues to work on it.

The successors are not yet finished. The committee has followed the first round of Ranji Trophy and is watching the second round. Debasish Mohanty was in Kolkata to watch the match between Bengal and Himachal Pradesh. On Wednesday, the BCCI Apex Council could not approve the players’ central agreement as the selection committee had not been formed and their input required before the finalization of the draft.

The CAC comprising Ashok Malhotra, Jatin Paranjpe and Sulakshna Naik, who was appointed earlier this month, is expected to meet soon to finalize the work. As well as deciding the center deal, the selection committee’s first task will be to pick a team for the home series against Sri Lanka and New Zealand from January 3.
