In comparison, Seventeen and SHINee also saw gains, ranking second and third respectively. Seventeen’s reputation rose by 3.95%, while SHINee experienced a substantial 43.87% increase, marking a remarkable comeback.

BTS Leads Boy Group Rankings as Seventeen and SHINee Follow Closely

In April 2025, BTS secured the top spot in the boy group brand reputation rankings. They saw a significant 9.12% rise in their reputation index, reflecting the group’s continued dominance in the global music scene. This rise is attributed to their active participation in community and media activities. Consistent fan engagement across various platforms also helped. Their reputation index stood at 7,617,606, a considerable leap from the previous month.

Seventeen ranked second, improving by nearly 4%. Meanwhile, Shinee claimed third with a remarkable 43.87% surge. SHINee’s improvement was particularly notable, reflecting a rebound in their brand presence. This came after some time of lesser activity. Both groups demonstrated strong consumer interest. Seventeen excelled in community and media indices, while SHINee’s growth was fueled by positive shifts in brand communication.

BTS’s success was also marked by the group’s overwhelmingly positive media attention. This was demonstrated by a 91.59% positive-to-negative ratio. Keywords like “donating,” “recording,” and “breaking through” were highly analyzed. They showed that the group’s philanthropic and artistic achievements resonated deeply with their fanbase. Their rise in communication and diffusion indices signals increased interaction with audiences. This cements their place as the top boy group globally.

Although some boy groups, like Big Bang and Stray Kids, saw a drop in their rankings. Others like Stray Kids achieved a massive 47.93% increase. This showcases the dynamic nature of the boy group brand reputation index. The overall boy group brand category showed a 6.31% rise in big data analysis from March to April. This highlights the growing influence and competition within this sector.
