Seeman Blasts DMK Over Kallakurichi Tragedy

  • Seeman accuses the DMK government of negligence in the Kallakurichi liquor deaths.
  • Criticism over the transfer of officials while higher authorities remain unpunished.
  • Call for stricter measures to prevent bootleg liquor sales.

Seeman of the Naam Tamilar Party has vehemently criticized the DMK government for its handling of the Kallakurichi incident, where over 42 people died from consuming poisonous liquor.

He questions the superficial punishment of local officials like the District Collector and Superintendent of Police, calling for accountability from higher authorities, including the Chief Minister.

Accountability Demanded in Kallakurichi Poison Liquor Deaths

Seeman highlights the heartbreaking impact of the Kallakurichi incident, where families have been torn apart due to the consumption of toxic liquor. He blames the DMK government for failing to prevent these avoidable deaths, arguing that this was not an accident but a consequence of systemic negligence.

The presence of known criminals like Chinnadurai, who continued their illegal activities despite numerous charges, points to a significant failure in law enforcement. Seeman criticizes the superficial investigation by the CBCID, asserting that the government’s actions have been insufficient to curb the sale of counterfeit liquor.

The callous response of the DMK government, according to Seeman, is evident in their attempt to cover up the deaths by attributing them to unrelated health issues. He urges the Chief Minister to take more decisive action in addressing the root causes of such tragedies and ensuring stricter enforcement against bootleg liquor.

Seeman emphasizes that no amount of compensation can bring back the lives lost. He urges the DMK government to learn from past incidents and adopt stricter measures to prevent future tragedies, thereby safeguarding the health and lives of the public.

Seeman’s strong condemnation of the DMK government’s handling of the Kallakurichi incident underscores the need for greater accountability and more effective measures to prevent such tragedies in the future.

“It is not an accident or an accidental death due to fraud, it is a green massacre due to the negligence of the government.” – Seeman
