Rhea Ripley, the WWE Women’s World Champion, has said that she will relinquish her title in the wake of Liv Morgan’s attack.

Ripley was hurt during a brawl with Morgan backstage on the April 8 broadcast of WWE Raw. After defeating Charlotte Flair to capture the title at WrestleMania 39 and defeating Becky Lynch to successfully defend it at WrestleMania XL earlier this month, she has had an incredible run lately.

WWE Women’s World Champion

When Ripley shared her suffering on social media, WWE president Paul “Triple H” Levesque hugged her. WWE shared a post on X verifying Ripley’s forced relocation on social media to validate the news.

The Nightmare posted on social media to remind fans of her incredible championship run, but there is no word on when Ripley might be making a comeback to competition.

After defeating Toni Storm in the NXT UK Women‘s Championship Tournament Finals and then NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler to secure the championship, Ripley created history. She won the Women’s Royal Rumble Match that was held last year with a strong performance.
