US Department of State spokesperson Mathew Miller was asked during a press briefing about the US position on the detention of Arvind Kejriwal, the head of the Indian opposition, but not on the arrests of opposition figures in Pakistan.

The US ambassador to Pakistan, Mathew Miller, has declined to combine the two cases into a single one, saying that the US wants human rights and the rule of law to be applied consistently to all citizens of Pakistan.

Miller has stated unequivocally that, as is the case with any nation in the globe, the US wants to see everyone in Pakistan treated with respect for human rights. Arvind Kejriwal is presently being held in Tihar Jail and is anticipated to be released from judicial custody on April 15. He was detained in the Delhi excise policy case.

The term “Maryada” was used by External Minister S Jaishankar to highlight that nations shouldn’t meddle in one another’s domestic matters in reaction to comments made against Indian politics by the US, Germany, and the UN.

He declared that foreign nations have no right to remark on Indian politics and that they have made it plain to their ambassadors that they strongly disapprove of any intervention of such sort.
