According to South Africa Israel is disobeying a court decision

  • South Africa charged that Israel has killed hundreds of civilians in Gaza in a matter of days.
  • The UN’s highest court ordered Israel to stop killing people.
  • Israeli forces are still fighting militants in the northern portion, resulting in over 150 deaths and 313 injuries.

The foreign minister of South Africa charged that Israel has killed hundreds of civilians in Gaza in a matter of days, defying a verdict by the UN’s highest court ordering Israel to stop killing people.

According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, Israeli forces are still fighting militants in the northern portion of the enclave, resulting in over 150 deaths and 313 injuries.

Court decision

The Israeli military claimed that during the course of the previous day, its forces killed over 15 Hamas militants in northern Gaza and targeted militant equipment located in a school. The Health Ministry, which is under the leadership of Hamas, reports that the number of Palestinian deaths resulting from Israel’s offensive has reached 26,900.

According to Israeli police, 1,200 people—mostly civilians—were killed and around 250 were taken hostage during Hamas’ October 7 attack in southern Israel.

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq, a loose coalition of militias supported by Iran that includes the extremist Kataib Hezbollah, is the organization that the US blames for the drone strike that claimed the lives of three US military men in Jordan. The United States believes the group organized, supplied, and enabled the attack.

A group of UN ambassadors was informed by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that the primary assistance organization serving Palestinians in Gaza had to be closed because Hamas had “infiltrated” it.

Reports of a possible compromise between Israel and Hamas that may free about 100 hostages and end the war have been eagerly anticipated by the relatives of those held captive.
