Six of the top 10 most valuable brands in the world in 2024 are US-based

  • Tesla‘s brand worth dropped to $58.3 billion in 2024.
  • Apple’s brand worth has increased by almost $217 billion since the ranking from the previous year.
  • Apple, Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Walmart, and Facebook are the six US-based.

According to a Visual Capitalist estimate, Tesla’s brand worth dropped to $58.3 billion in 2024, leaving it out of the top 10 since the previous year.

The study emphasizes how difficult it is to value a brand since, although investments in a brand might pay off for decades, brand assets are generally not accepted on balance sheets by financial regulators because they are ambiguous.

Most valuable brands

According to the report, despite a plateau in iPhone sales, Apple‘s brand worth has increased by almost $217 billion since the ranking from the previous year.

But as the business has been growing its product lines—from wearables to Apple TV—its brand value has grown because more than half of respondents to a Brand Finance survey felt that the company’s goods were worth the cost.

Conversely, Tesla’s brand worth fell to $58.3 billion, leaving it outside of the top 10 since the previous year.

Apple ($516.6B), Microsoft ($340.4B), Google ($333.4B), Amazon ($308.9B + 3.2%), Samsung Group ($99.4B), Walmart ($96.8B), Douyin ($84.2B) from TikTok, Facebook ($75.7B), Deutsche Telekom ($73.3B), and ICBC ($71.8B) were the top brands in the world in 2024.
