Chilewich Introducing New Materials for Floors and Tables

Tambour placemats and floor mats are made through a repeated process of combining multiple weaves into a single design, revealing patterns within patterns and stripes within stripes.

Balancing the horizontal and vertical, Tambour creates a versatile visual rhythm and debuts in two colorways: ivy and pop.

New Model Textiles for Floors and Tables

Inspired by the abstract illusions of Op Art, Twist placemats and floor rugs combine layered curves and softened zigzags with the depth of the woven fabric. The larger design was created by a Chilewich master weaver who began by carving shapes out of paper to experiment with composition, overlay effects, and negative space. Comes in two colors: Magnolia and Ocean.

Chord placemats and floor mats combine geometric hardness with a calmer surface. The range is designed to offer basic texture through a dobby weave that evokes a woven tatami rush. It is offered in two colors: oak and sea.

  • Chilewich add colors and varieties to their floor and table textiles.
  • They gave this in different types like Tambour, Chord, Daisy, Domino, and Pop Stripe.
  • Each type was introduced with its two different colors.

The daisy tablecloth looks like a tightly tied bouquet of daisies when viewed from above. The flexible openwork placemat acts as a decorative base for whatever is placed on top. It is available in three colors: black, gold and bronze.

Domino shagmat uses different line strokes of different widths to create an ombre effect that magnifies when viewed from a distance. The floor mats come in four sizes and two colors: black/white and oak.

Pop Stripe rugs embody the rainbow by combining bold hues, dynamic lines, and tufted textures. The colored streaks are softened by their interaction with white. The floor mats come in four sizes and several color shades.
