Trump surpasses Biden as the US’s favorite leader

  • A Wall Street Journal poll shows that Mr. Trump has a 47% to 43% lead over Mr. Biden.

  • Nikki Haley has the largest lead, up 17 points, 51% to 34%.

According to a recent poll, former US President Donald Trump has eclipsed Joe Biden as the preferred leader. A Wall Street Journal poll shows that Mr. Trump has a 47% to 43% lead over Mr. Biden.

With his approval rating at its lowest point since taking office, this is the first time the poll has shown Mr. Biden lagging behind his opponent.

US’s Favorite Leader

When five independent and third-party candidates are included, their combined support for Mr. Trump has increased to six points, or 37% to 31%, with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. receiving the highest percentage at 8%.

Nikki Haley, a former governor of South Carolina and UN ambassador, has the largest lead, up 17 points, 51% to 34%.

The poll comes after Mr. Biden referred to Mr. Trump as “despicable” at a California event, replacing his predecessor.
