70 hostages to be released by Hamas

  • US President Joe Biden has called for less invasive measures around the hospitals.
  • Tuesday saw Israeli forces kill at least six Palestinians in the West Bank, three of them as a result of a drone attack.
  • Hamas has declared it is willing to give in exchange for the release of up to seventy hostages in Gaza is a five-day cease-fire.

Given the escalating violence in Gaza, US President Joe Biden has called for less invasive measures around the hospitals. Based on allegations that Hamas has a major command center beneath the al-Shifa complex and is using patients as shields, the Israeli military has surrounded the largest hospital complex in the enclave.

Once it ran out of supplies such as fuel, medication, and water, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared that al-Shifa was “not functioning as a hospital anymore”. Gazan health officials are working nonstop to keep premature babies warm once they are taken out of incubators because they cannot survive without electricity.

Israel-Hamas

Yoav Gallant, Israel’s defense minister, says Hamas terrorists are escaping south after the organization lost control of Gaza. In the West Bank, Israeli forces killed at least six Palestinians, three of them as a result of a drone strike.

Hamas will arrange a five-day truce in Gaza in return for the arrival of up to seventy prisoners. When a Hamas militant’s home in Eli, West Bank, was destroyed, four Israelis lost their lives.

Eli Cohen, Israel’s foreign minister, is in Switzerland and will meet with World Health Organization director-general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus and Red Cross president Mirjana Spoljaric Egger.

Additionally, Cohen will brief foreign ambassadors on the global initiative to free the approximately 240 hostages that terrorists are holding in Gaza.

4,630 children were among the 11,240 people who died in Gaza as a result of Israel’s attack, according to the Gaza health ministry. As acknowledged by his country’s top diplomat, Israel has “two or three weeks until international pressure steps up.”

In an attempt to help, the Israeli military organized the delivery of incubators from Israel to Al Shifa; however, the facility has not yet received any of the equipment, which is frequently used to keep premature babies warm.
