Over Nitish’s offensive comments, Modi aims for the INDIA bloc

  • Modi has accused a leader of the INDIA bloc of using derogatory language against women in a state assembly.
  • Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also attacked the BJP, alleging that the ruling party’s strategy is to give industrialists control.
  • The second and final round of voting for the remaining 70 seats in Chhattisgarh is set for November 17.

Despite the presence of mothers and sisters, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has accused a leader of the INDIA bloc of using derogatory language against women in a state assembly. Declaring that not a single leader of the INDIA bloc had spoken out against the “disrespect” for women, he urged the members of the opposition grouping to protect their honor and dignity.

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, the leader of the Congress party, also attacked the Bharatiya Janata Party, alleging that the ruling party’s strategy is to give industrialists control over state-run businesses.

Additionally, she took issue with Jawaharlal Nehru, the nation’s first prime minister, for his reasoning in founding organizations such as the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) and the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).

In the first round of the Assembly elections, 71.11% of voters cast ballots in Chhattisgarh, while 77.61% did so in Mizoram. Tuesday night marked the conclusion of the first round of voting for the 20 seats in Chhattisgarh and the 40-member Mizoram Assembly. The second and final round of voting for the remaining 70 seats in Chhattisgarh is set for November 17.

To stop the government from abusing its power to target Vaibhav Gehlot, the son of Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, and Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, the Congress has called for the Election Commission to step in.

The Enforcement Directorate is allegedly behaving at the BJP’s request to damage the reputation of its leaders, according to the Congress. To counter the Hindutva plank of the BJP and its Mandal politics, the Congress-led government in Rajasthan, headed by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, has announced a caste survey. The survey calls for social justice and sufficient representation of the castes that are historically marginalized.
