Much attention has been focused on the large rise in the net worth of British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak‘s wife, Akshata Murty, since the publishing of Infosys’ earnings report for the quarter ending in September 2023.

An interim dividend of Rs 18 per equity share was also revealed by Infosys on Thursday at the company’s second quarterly earnings report for the fiscal year 2023–24.

Q2 results of Infosys

An information technology company’s promoter, Akshata Murty, owns 3,89,57,096 equity shares, or 1.05 percent of the company’s total paid-up capital. Murty’s net worth is anticipated to reach Rs 70,12,27,728 after Infosys announced an interim dividend of Rs 18 per share.

The temporary dividend of Rs 17.5 per share announced in June 2023 is the reason for this rise. An estimated Rs 138 crore would be added to Murty’s net worth by 2023.

During the September quarter, Infosys generated US dollar sales of $4.71 billion, which exceeded the $4.65 billion predicted by the CNBC-TV18 survey.

In comparison to the predicted 0.8% sequential rise, this translates into a 2.2% increase in US Dollar revenue on a QoQ basis. The company exceeded the projected 21% by 20 basis points, achieving an earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) margin of 21.2%.

Infosys achieved US dollar revenue of $4.71 billion in the same period, surpassing the CNBC-TV18 poll’s prediction and showing a 2.2% quarter-over-quarter rise.
