According to a memo from a lawyer for the workers viewed by Bloomberg News, Elon Musk’s X Corp. has promised to try to resolve claims from thousands of ex-Twitter workers who believe they were denied severance compensation after the entrepreneur fired them after buying the social media platform last year.

Attorney Shannon Liss-Riordan stated in the email to her clients that “after 10 months of pressing them in every direction we have succeeded in getting Twitter to the table.” The memo was obtained from a former Twitter employee who declined to be identified divulging personal material. To resolve all of our claims, Twitter wants to mediate with us.

Lawsuits to Twitter

In various lawsuits, the former owner of Twitter has been charged with numerous labor and workplace infractions, including neglecting to provide severance compensation to thousands of employees who were let go late last year after Musk’s $44 billion acquisition.

As requested by the corporation, around 2,000 former Twitter employees have resorted to filing arbitration claims; however, Liss-Riordan has claimed in court documents that Twitter has failed to appear.

X is following a court order to mediate, according to a person with knowledge of the situation who asked to be anonymous discussing private matters.

According to Liss-Riordan’s memo, the private conversations with a mediator are scheduled for December 1 and December 2.

In more than a dozen class action lawsuits and individual arbitrations, Liss-Riordan, a former employee of Twitter, has legal representation. She expressed delight in assisting approximately 2,000 former workers and is putting up a lot of effort to see that they get paid what they are owed.
