Selena Gomez has said that she is not giving her new song, “Single Soon,” her whole attention. A fan who was promoting the song on Instagram received a response from her in which she stated that she didn’t care about sales and was simply delighted to create music with her friends.
By requesting that all “Selenators” heed their appeal, the fan was working to ensure that the song debuted in the top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100 charts.

Gomez had to explain a few things in relation to her new album, such as whether the lyrics allude to her previous relationship with The Weeknd, whom she dated in 2017.
Some believed that Gomez may have been making a reference to “Save Your Tears,” a song by The Weeknd, in her lyrics. Gomez, however, swiftly put an end to the rumors on August 28 by declaring that they were completely untrue.
Despite their breakup, a source told Us Weekly in March 2020 that Gomez and The Weeknd are still “cordial” and even support one another’s artistic talents. The two were romantically involved from January to October 2017.
Gomez has also been proclaiming her independence, shouting, “I’m single! In a TikTok video posted in June, the user says, “I’ll love you so much, but I’m just a little high maintenance.”
Gomez hasn’t made any mention of the subject of her new song in public, but she did make a suggestion that there will be a lot more music to come.
The debut of “Single Soon” heralds the beginning of Gomez’s SG3 period and is the first song she has released since her 2021 album, Revelación.
