The ‘Barbie’ movie is now prohibited in Kuwait, the newest nation to do so. Greta Gerwig’s ‘Barbie’ movie is still the subject of ongoing controversy.

Kuwait has reportedly become the most recent nation to outlaw the movie, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Vietnam previously had a prohibition on it.

According to local sources, Lafi Al-Subaie, the head of the country’s film censorship commission, has charged the movie with “carrying ideas that encourage unacceptable behavior and distort society’s values.”

It’s also conceivable that Lebanon will outlaw “Barbie.” Barbie “promotes homosexuality,” according to culture minister Mohammad Mortada, and “contravenes values of faith and morality” by downplaying the value of the family, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
