Sunil Chhetri performs better for the national team than Messi and Ronaldo

The Indian football team’s captain, Sunil Chhetri, thanks everyone for their support after the Blue Tigers won three titles and set their sights on the Asian Cup. For the national team, he thinks he can outperform Messi and Ronaldo.

From the opening day of the competition, India received fantastic support, with fans cheering them on at all times. It was even more enjoyable because Kuwait and Lebanon were good sides despite not being SAFF teams.

Chhetri emphasized the value of remaining realistic and cautious while acknowledging a positive shift in the supporters’ attitudes and awareness of Indian football. He acknowledged the positive trend towards more football conversation in society.

He did admit that although the team has moved up a few rankings, there is still a long way to go. He exhorted the group to carry on their good work and be committed to their objectives.

  • Indian captain Sunil Chhetri expresses gratitude for the support and believes he can outperform Messi and Ronaldo.
  • Chhetri emphasizes a realistic, cautious approach amid positive Indian football supporter attitudes.
  • Chhetri leads the group with Messi, and Ronaldo, top goal scorers.

The team’s accomplished captain, Chhetri, says the upcoming Asian Cup is comparable to the World Cup and wants to do well in it. He thinks that since international football is unpredictable and underdogs might triumph, the squad ought to consistently make it to the Asian Cup.

Alongside Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, Chhetri, the team’s captain for more than a decade, has been leading the group from the front. Chhetri also ranks in the top 10 all-time goal scorers for their national teams.

With the other nine names on the list, there is no similarity. As a matter of fact, like a lot of other people, I am a fan of athletes like Ronaldo and Messi.

There simply isn’t a comparable, so I don’t take this list—or whatever it is—too seriously. But I can outperform them when it comes to representing the national team,” he remarked.
